Think for a minute about the power of a thought - close your eyes and imagine how it would FEEL emotionally and physically if you received a phone call telling you that you'd just won a million dollars! Each thought has energy. We are what we think about. We attract what we think about. William James, one of the founders of modern psychology, said, "The greatest discovery of this generation is that human beings can alter their life by altering their attitude." From Victor Hugo: "Smiling is infectious; you can catch it like the flu. Someone smiled at me today, and I started smiling too." We often wander blindly through life not being aware of what our internal voices are telling us. What happens when we start taking notice? Are those voices serving us? Or taking away from our magnificence? From Abraham Hicks: You can be happy or sad, it doesn't matter. You get to choose. You can go this way or that way. You get to choose. Figure it all out as you go. There's not one right path. There are many right paths. Do anything you can do - which means think it or speak it or do it - that makes you feel a little better. Whether you've been an active and conscious person most of your life, some of your life, or you're just starting out on the journey of "consciousness", welcome! In sharing our experiences with others and sharing information that helps all of us become powerful in a positive, meaningful and productive way... we can make a difference in the world. Do you want that? I do. What's really struck me since having children is becoming aware of how much they take in from me - my thoughts become my actions and they copy. They don't do what I say, they do what I do! When you've got little "sponges" of human consciousness around you all day, you have to be mindful of what's going on in your head. When you're looking in the mirror and your automatic, unconscious thoughts pop up, you may wonder how your children will one day feel when they look in the mirror. We want for our precious children, strong self-esteem, determination and self-belief that isn't easily knocked down. Growing up female in the 2000's and beyond, is a challenge - what my husband and I want to equip our gorgeous daughters with mind tools that will help them stand their ground and carve out the life that they want for themselves.
